EMS Licensing
The following licenses are recognized by the State of San Andreas:
- Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
More advanced than First Aid, issued to non-EMS first responders such as police officers and sheriff's deputies upon completion of an approved EMR or BLS course. Employees that occupy administrative positions, do not qualify for this certification.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Minimum level to staff an ambulance, issued to Fire, EMS, and select law enforcement personnel.
- Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT)
Bridge between basic and advanced life support, also called limited advanced life support.
- Paramedic
Highest field certification, issued to select individuals upon completion of an approved Paramedic course.
The licenses are issued and maintained by the Los Santos County EMS Agency.
License eligibility criteria:
- With the exception of First Aid, the license holder must be affiliated with an agency that is authorized to practice medicine.
- Prior to obtaining a license, an individual must take a course held by authorized trainers and pass an official examination.
- An individual must not be convicted of any felony or other crime directly related to public health.
