Fire Academy Recruit

Fire Academy Recruits will complete an 24-week fire academy that will cover all the essential and and necessary fire training to begin the career of a life time. This program will also include a 12-week EMT-B academy that will run in succession.

Requirements
.- Applicants are required to be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of application.
- Applicants are required to be in possession of a valid San Andreas driver's license at the time of application.
- Graduation from a U.S. high school, G.E.D. or equivalent from a U.S. institution, or a San Andreas High School Proficiency Examination (SAHSPE) certificate is required. A two or four-year college degree from an accredited U.S. or foreign institution may be substituted for the high school requirements.
- United States citizenship, or non-citizens must be permanent resident aliens who, in accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), are eligible and have applied for citizenship. Documentation that the USCIS accepted the candidate's application for citizenship prior to the written test date must be submitted during the selection process.
- Applicants applying with a criminal record will be denied and risk being permanently barred from recruitment. Exceptions may be made in the cases of infractions or certain misdemeanours, however please note that anyone with any form of felony record will be automatically denied.
- Firefighting and medical rescue work is physically demanding. Candidates must be in excellent health and have no conditions that would restrict their ability to safely do fire suppression and rescue work. Weight (body fat content) must be proportionate to height for men and women. The Fire Academy, as well as the job of firefighting, is physically demanding. Therefore, it is in the best interest of each candidate to prepare well in advance to reach his or her maximum fitness level.
- Applicants must be willing and able to complete the process within at least fourteen (14) days. In addition, Applicants must be willing to undergo and comply with the entirety of the recruitment process.
- Applicants must not be undergoing any ongoing recruitment process with other agencies.
- Applicants must adhere to departmental grooming standards. Applicants are not allowed to have hair that is dyed an un-natural color. Applicants are also not allowed to have tattoos that are offensive or inappropriate. Tattoos must not be visible on the neck or hands, and must not extend past the sleeves of Class A uniform.
- Applicants are required to have at least twenty (20) hours of in-game time, irrespective of character.
- Applicants are required to match their forum and applicant names.
- Applicants must provide unedited screenshots as requested throughout the application process.
- Applicants must be in good standing with the Community and may be disqualified from the selection process for prior admin jails or bans.
- Applicants must be prepared to undergo a thorough evaluation of the applicant's suitability as a prospective firefighter and faction member, including but not limited to a review of English language proficiency, communication ability, attitude, a compatible mindset with the faction, roleplay quality, and motivation in applying for the Department.

The Fire Academy is not OOCly a 24 week long process, applicants can expect the following process at a pace they find comfortable:
- ((Application))
- Applicants will apply for the position of Fire Academy Recruit with the LSFD. Those who are moved on to the interview will be requested to provide their availability immediately.
- ((Background Check))
- All applicants are required to successfully complete and pass a required background check that is filed by Recruitment and Retention on behalf of the applicant.
- ((Interview))
- Step 3 in the process is to schedule and complete your interview with a member of Recruitment and Retention. This step is mandatory for moving along in the recruitment process.
- ((Examination(s) ))
- The LSFD has moved away from required IC academies and now operates exclusively with the system of providing material to the applicant and then testing them on it by a certain date during their process. The exam(s) will cover all the necessary information needed to have a foundation to roleplay as a member of the LSFD.
- ((Probationary Period))
- All Recruits who pass their exam(s) will move on to their Probationary period within the LSFD. During this 30 day period they will have their knowledge on the material provided tested as well as formalized training by completing a necessary checklist while also having evaluations submitted by FTO's in the field in order to come off of Probation by the 30 day mark.))
