Emergency Medical Services Licensing
Information
Please use these forms to request a license to be issued, given the requirements listed in this document are met.
The following licenses are recognized by the State of San Andreas:
- First Aid/CPR/AED (( Currently not in use ))
- May be issued to anyone upon completion of a course hosted by approved First Aid instructors.
- Emergency Medical Responder
- More advanced than First Aid, issued to non-EMS first responders such as police officers and sheriff's deputies upon completion of an approved EMR or BLS course.
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Minimum level to staff an ambulance, issued to Fire, EMS, and select law enforcement personnel.
- Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (( Currently not in use ))
- Bridge between basic and advanced life support, not currently issued in any capacity.
- Paramedic
- Highest field certification, issued to select individuals upon completion of an approved Paramedic course.
License eligibility criteria:
- With the exception of First Aid, the license holder must be affiliated with an agency that is authorized to practice medicine.
- Prior to obtaining a license, an individual must take a course held by authorized trainers and pass an official examination.
- An individual must not be convicted of any felony or other crime directly related to public health.
- The conviction of, plea of guilty or plea of no contest to, a felony or any criminal offense which is directly related to public health.
- Limitation, suspension, revocation or other disciplinary action by a licensing or authorizing agency relating to practice, or the ability to practice safely and effectively, as an EMS professional or the voluntary surrender of a licensee in connection with or in lieu of any such disciplinary action.
- Unauthorized release of the personally identifiable information of any patient or any other breach of confidentiality.

All licenses are maintained by FD Command through our CAD website, but are reflected on the MDC under licenses, as well as in-game under /licenses, as shown below:
OOC Rules:
- With the exception of First Aid, an individual must be in a legal faction for an EMS license to be considered valid.
- Upon the departure of a legal faction, the license will be automatically revoked by the system.
- If the individual returns to any legal faction, you may use the form in this request for the license to be reissued.
- Once an individual has obtained any license, they will not be required to complete the course again if they namechange.
- Please use the appropriate form in this document to request for a license to be transferred to a new character.
- You must have an appropriate IC reason if it's a Paramedic or AEMT license.

1. New Certification Request
Used to request a new license upon completion of a course. This is required if the course was completed by a non LSFD trainer.
