[10/01/2021] Cotton Factory Fire

The Los Santos Fire Department received a 911 call at 22:56 from an unknown source regarding a sighting of a structure fire at the Cotton Factory in La Mesa, upon arrival Fire Chief Randy Sikes took Incident Command and team assignments were handled as can be seen below:
  • BC-1: Chief Sikes, Incident Command.
  • RE-3:
    • Captain Holland, Firefighter Wilcox (Interior Attack, Primary/Secondary Search).
    • Engineer Fjellhol and Firefighter MacCarthy (Exterior Attack, Horziontal Ventilation).
  • QUINT-7: Firefighter Kerwood (Vertical Ventilation).
  • RB-31: Firefighter Reynolds (Medical).
  • PR-1: Assistant Director Reyna and Junior Journalist Roche (Public Relations).
The team managed to complete a successful knockdown at 23:33 and a secondary search was conducted at 23:44. There were no persons inside upon arrival of the teams and no salvageable items could be recovered by the teams on scene. The State Fire Marshals are currently conducting an investigation with more information to follow, if you have any information that could provide to be useful please contact the State Fire Marshals office on 444.
