    Lana Harper was born at the West Vinewood Hospital and Health Center on April 24, 2002 to a middle class family. Lana’s father was an elementary school teacher while her mother worked at a local hospital as a nurse. She was raised in modesty and was always taught to be humble and appreciative of what she has. This lifestyle has resulted in Lana being very hands on with her community from a young age. She was a proud member of her elementary schools’ safety patrol program and was nominated for student of the year during 5th grade. She takes pride in these accomplishments and continually seeks to find new ways to help her community.

    Lana was exposed to the Departments’ cadet program at the age of fourteen when a local station Captain visited her middle school for career day. Seeking an opportunity to do something more for her local community, she enrolled in the Cadet program the next year at the age of fifteen. Seeking independence, Lana also began working part time at Joe’s Hoagies during her senior high school year. She has since maintained this employment on a part time basis while also continuing to volunteer for the Department via the Cadet program until the age of twenty. Lana has found her experience working with the Fire Department under the Cadet program very rewarding and wishes to pursue public safety as a career with the encouragement of her nurse mother. After comparing the Los Santos Fire Department to other fire agencies in the area, she finds this Department to offer the best opportunity for her in regards to career advancement, benefits, and payscale.

Thank you for applying for the position of Firefighter I or EMT Trainee with the City of Los Santos. We have carefully evaluated your interview in light of the City of Los Santos Background Standards for public safety positions.

We would like to offer you a conditional offer of employment at the civil title of Academy Candidate. This position includes the base annual gross salary, although doesn't include hazard pay or assignment bonus.

Any request for refusal of this offer must be in writing and received by Training and Support Bureau within ten (10) business days from the postmark date of this electronic letter.

(( At this point, your character would enroll in their respective educational training - an 18 week long Fire Academy or 120 hours of supervised EMT training. After that, you'd be required to undergo an examination with the Los Santos County EMS Agency and/or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. We currently do not offer in-game academies or examinations and the vast majority of your training and supervision will be done through Field Training Patrols (FTPs) which can be read about further in the links below. ))

You will shortly be granted access to our online portal, where you will gain access to a plethora of documentation that you MUST read as soon as convinient. All of your requirements for probation, including how to get started and how to set up your supervisions, are thoroughly outlined in the Probationary Period Explained document, as provided below.
