INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the LSFD Memorial Archive dating from 2018 to 2021, this post is to serve as an archive of our fallen brothers and sisters in the line of duty or off duty. The Public Relations Division will maintain this sub-forum for the foreseeable future and provide new topics should a line of duty death happen.

2018

FIREFIGHTER I - Klaus DeRusso

On October 26th at approximately 01:30 AM, Firefighter I Klaus DeRusso was off duty and walking in Vespucci Canals when a violent attack happened against him, civilians who came across the attack called law enforcement immediately and Paramedics from Fire Station Seven were dispatched to the scene with Captain Jack Wolfsbane, despite the valiant attempts by the scene Paramedics, Captain Jack Wolfsbane declared Klaus DeRusso deceased at 01:36.

Klaus DeRusso was laid to rest at a public funeral on the 3rd of November 2018.
2019

FIRE CAPTAIN - Jack Wolfsbane

On the 28th of January, the Fire Department responded to a call of service from the Los Santos Police Department about a vehicle fire in Chamberlain Hills, Forum Drive, this was attended by Engine 1 and Engine 2. Captain Jack Wolfsbane, who was a State Fire Marshal attended the scene under Marshal 1 and began to investigate the fire. Moments after the State Fire Marshals arrived on the scene, gunfire rang out and the Los Santos Police Department and State Fire Marshals came under attack by unknown parties. Captain Jack Wolfsbane was unfortunately hit by the gunfire, along with another female police officer. He was declared deceased at 23:27

Jack Wolfsbane was laid to rest at a public funeral on the 9th of February.
2020

FIRE CAPTAIN - Laura Murphy
Public Relations regrets to have no photo on file for Laura Murphy. On the 26th of April, the Fire Department was responding to a call for service from the Los Santos Police Department about a reported fire. Engines from Station Seven responded to the scene with Captain Laura Murphy in command of Engine 71. During Firefighting operations Laura Murphy was killed by a medium-sized gasoline bottle that contained highly flammable material which exploded, killing the Captain instantly.

Laura Murphy was laid to rest at a private funeral in May.

PROBATIONARY FIREFIGHTER - Sakura Wanatabe
Public Relations regrets to have no photo on file for Sakura Wanatabe. On the 30th of July, the Los Santos Fire Department responded to a call of service for a citizen in distress atop the Maze Bank Tower, LSPD and LSFD worked together to attempt to defuse the situation but ultimately the citizen committed suicide, the citizen was later to be revealed as Probationary Firefighter Sakura Wanatabe. The Department overhauled its Mental Health Guidelines following the incident.

Sakura Wanatabe was laid to rest at a private funeral in July.

PROBATIONARY FIREFIGHTER - Amelie Wolff
Public Relations regrets to have no photo on file for Amelie Wolff. On the 13th of October, Probationary Firefighter Amelie Wolff was concluding her shift at Station Seven, while heading to her personal vehicle she was kidnapped by a group of unknown individuals. The Police Department and the Fire Department tracked Wolff down in the County but despite life-saving treatment, Amelie Wolff was declared deceased by on-scene Paramedics.

Amelie Wolff was laid to rest at a private funeral in October.

FIRE CAPTAIN - Cain Sanderson
Image On the 26th of October, Cain Sanderson was operating FIRE-3 during a routine flight in Blaine County, during his flight a technical fault happened with the Aircraft which brought it down. The Fire Department responded with units from Stations 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7, along with activating both Battalion 1 and Battalion 2 for a large-scale search and rescue attempt. Despite the valiant efforts of Firefighters and EMS, Captain Sanderson was declared deceased. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the NTSB.

Cain Sanderson was laid to rest at a private funeral in early November.

FIREFIGHTER I - Torstein Lindström
Public Relations regrets to have no photo on file for Torstein Lindström. On the 27th of November, the Torstein Lindström was responding to a 911 call in South Los Santos, while heading to the scene in an Ambulance, he was struck by a pedestrian-vehicle outside of Station Three in Davis. Firefighters from Station Three rushed to assist their colleague and the pedestrian. Firefighter Lindström was taken to the Pillbox Medical Center but regretfully succumbed to his injuries.

Torstein Lindström was laid to rest at a private funeral in December.
2021

ENGINEER - Isabel Lopez
Public Relations regrets to have no photo on file for Isabel Lopez. On the 3rd of March, Engineer Lopez was responding to a call of service in the mid-afternoon when she was involved in an FD-involved MVA. Resources from Station Seven were dispatched to assist with the MVA and she was taken to the hospital, regretfully while in transit to the hospital Isabel Lopez died due to the injuries she had sustained.

Isabel Lopez was laid to rest at a private funeral in March.

ENGINEER - Freddie Martinez

On the 12th of April, Engineer Martinez was responding to a call of service of a vehicle entrapment at Pacific Bluffs, Great Ocean Highway, on-scene Freddy and the Engine he was assigned to battle the flames of the vehicle while Freddie attempted to extract the trapped Deputy Sheriff, unfortunately, Freddie sustained serious injuries and was declared deceased on scene.

Freddie Martinez was laid to rest at a private funeral in April.

ENGINEER - Essie Beck
Image On the 28th of July, the Fire Department responded to a large commercial structure fire at La Spada. Engineer Avery and Engineer Beck were assigned the roof to provide vertical ventilation. During the roof ventilation the roof collapsed, bringing Engineer Avery and Beck down with it, a RIC team was immediately activated to save the fallen Engineers and they were later rushed to the hospital. Engineer Beck was confirmed deceased by the hospital staff at 00:20

Essie Beck was laid to rest at a private funeral in December.
