Section III- Employment Information
3.1 Why should Los Santos Fire Department accept your reinstatement ?:
While I had no idea what to expect when I became a member of the Los Santos Fire Department, I have soon found a family with everyone and although it's been a rocky journey I have always tried my best to persevere, uphold the values of the department and promote discipline, hard work and support those around me to the best of my abilities. Should my reinstatement be accepted, it would once again be my honor to serve the department with the same passion that I have before, through the good times and the bad ones.

3.2 Why do you wish to rejoin the Fire Department?:
My leave from the department has been rather sudden and I wish it had never come to that but life has a way of throwing you curveballs when you least expected. With that out of the way now, I wish to resume my work with the department and reunite with the family once more.

3.3 What have you been doing since your discharge from the department?:
I have had to move back home due to my father falling ill. His autoimmune system is pretty weak so he's prone to health complications, the last one being a bit harsher on his body and he required care around the clock. When I wasn't taking care of my father I would go out and check the local fire stations. Having spent so much time in the US I wanted to experience first hand how my country does it and I was oddly surprised to see how many similarities there are between what we do in the United States and what they do in Japan. Ridealongs were a bit harder to get due to legality concerns so it was also one of the reasons I've adopted my father's last name but I was still able to hang around their firestations and observe their routines, join them for meals and it was quite pleasant.

In the event of employment, it is further acknowledged that I may not exercise any medical practices or techniques that were not taught in academical sessions, for it would be practice of illegitimate medical practice, if it is legally proven that I have done such I agree and understand that it may be used against and face dishonorable discharges plus criminal charges.

Section V - OOC Information
5.1 Please provide an IC background story for your character (200 words minimum):
Emily Khan was born in Japan, in the city of Nichinan, Miyazaki Prefecture from a mixed family; a Japanese-American father from the Hawaiian islands and a South Korean mother who herself was of mixed descendancy and whose last name she was given in the end. Both her parents met after emigrating to Japan, her father starting his own tech company while her mother applied for the police academy after gaining her citizenship. While her family was busy with their own careers, Emily was rapidly growing up and once she was eligible for school she became studying. As the Japanese educational system instilled in her a sense of responsibility for herself, the environment and those around her, she was not coming across as very academically inclined. She had no interest in applied sciences such as mathematics or biology, in fact she was not that good to begin with and instead was drawn towards sports, arts, philosophy and history. Under her mother's insistence, Emily has taken on several sports and participated in numerous competitions, mostly involving martial arts such as Kendo, Aikido and Kyudo on top of swimming. Unfortunately, the many activities she was part of left her with a seemingly inexistent social life and adding the fact that people like her, people of mixed origins, are generally having difficulties adjusting and this was felt as kids often marginalized her or outright bullied her. While it wasn't very common for those two things to happen, they have left an impact on Emily's young mind which further pushed her down the path of self isolation and focusing on her activities while limiting contact with those around her.

It was only when she finally graduated high school and decided to leave Japan to move to the United States that she started being more social, mostly due to the fact that she had to make it on her own even if her family supported her by sending her money every now and then. Her journey through the states was not easy either. Her father's family in Hawaii helped get her in the states on a work visa and eventually moved on the mainland where she worked as a delivery girl for various fast food chains on the west coast before finally ending up in Los Santos. Wanting something new and being low on cash she's decided to attempt and take her taxi license and make some money that way but as it turned out, she would not really end up doing that job for long because on a fateful day, Emily would attend a live demonstration of the Los Santos Fire Department which made her apply for the job. Following in her mother's footsteps she decided to try her best to join the emergency services despite not having any real experience but during the interview, the interviewer decided to give her a shot at the academy.

As time passed, while working her own job, on the breaks she had she'd study the manuals and documentations provided to prepare herself for the academy and then the fire academy came. Her self doubt becoming rather apparent as she constantly felt like she was underperforming but despite her own personal feelings, Emily became a Probationary Firefighter with the department and her real career started then. Her first day was marked by mistake after mistake, although she managed to keep up to the best of her abilities until the end of the shift when tragedy stuck and she was called to a structural fire in which a firefighter lost her life. Pulling out a half-dead firefighter from a crumbling building and the aftermath that followed including the call over the radio have left a permanent emotional scar on Emily, one that has not yet healed to this day but she's used that scar to further motivate herself and those around her. Pushing through her probation she's become a pilot for AOD and a rescue specialist with USAR. Further down the line she's made the difficult transition from pilot to flight crew to complement her skillset better and put her expertise to better use to save more lives. Overall, Emily's career was full of obstacles and hardships, yet she managed to adapt and overcome... sometimes finding it easier, sometimes finding it difficult but she persevered and in doing so she wanted to show everyone that if you dedicate yourself, nothing is unachievable. This, however, came at a cost of several failed personal relationships.

Although she's achieved a lot in the years she's spent with the department, going as far as becoming a captain and the acting commanding officer of US&R, Emily's career briefly paused after that due to her father falling ill and with nobody able to tend to him she's made the difficult decision to move back to Japan and live with him for a while to tend to his needs. While tending to her father, due to personal reasons she's also put in a request to take on her father's last name which she eventually did. Now that her father is back on his feet once more, she is able to return to the states, update her paperwork and resume her own career as a firefighter, seeking to rejoin her fire department family once more.

5.3 PROVIDE THE /STATS AND UCP INFORMATION OF ALL YOUR CHARACTERS:
Emily Ohara - Stats ; UCP
Alexander Fletcher - Stats ; UCP

5.4.1 Are you currently in any other factions on any other characters?: No. ((Although my alt has never really been removed from LSFD along with my main.))
5.4.2 If so, Please link proof of approved double faction permissions: N/A

5.5 Please provide the reasons that lead you to resign from the faction initially.
The initial resignation was due to time constraints and new work opportunities that would have cut into my free time and I felt I could not give the faction the time I needed but things have since changed as I've realized it was mostly my poor planning and taking on too many projects instead of focusing my efforts (both irl and ig). I've also had some construction work to help with around the house and while that's still on-going to this day (albeit almost finished), it's slow and occasional as it depends on a third party. Although resigned, I have still stayed in the faction to work on mods and this past month has helped me realize just how much I missed it.
